Because exhibit space was so valuable on the National Mall, my museum created a Cultural Resources Center to provide a center point to steward our collections and provide appropriate access. In 2019 this building has geothermal power, is LEAD certified, and is also able to supply power to other Smithsonian museums. But overall, the National Museum of the American Indian has become a fourth dimensional museum, existing in the web space to provide access to distance learning materials as well as digitized collections and worked with Native peoples to invite comment, edits, and discussion.Retired in Shady Sid 23:25, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
